Who doesn’t love dressing up for Halloween? Young and old, everybody in America enjoys this holiday. Some people opt for scary masks, others do their own makeup and hair so terrifyingly well that a mask is nothing to compete with.

Dia De Los Muertos makeup typically looks like a skull with brightly painted designs. It may seem scary to however it is a happy tradition meant to honor and celebrate ancestors and loved ones who have passed away.

A lot of our students consider themselves artists. They truly love what they do and it shows in their work and dedication to their program. One of the best parts about working in the beauty and barber industry is that you can express yourself any day of the year.

At WBI, we never miss a reason to come together or a chance to let our students have fun and showcase their craft. This year, we went all out to celebrate Halloween and Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead)!

For Halloween we held costume contests and styled Halloween themed doll heads! Students dressed up at all three of our campuses and the winners received some sweet prizes.

On November 1st we celebrated Dia de Los Muertos. Our students had a great time with Dia de Los Muertos makeup and hair. We did skull makeup with intricate designs, curled our hair and put flowers in it. What a great and positive way to pay respect to our ancestors.
