How to do the Perfect French Tip Manicure

Have you ever wondered how to get the perfect French Tip manicure?  As we all know, there are a lot of different nail styles that have been temporarily trendy, come in and out of style, and some that are just really “out there”, but the French Tip manicure is something that is classic and timeless and really goes with any look. It is no wonder why celebrities, brides, newly engaged females, and many other classy women choose this look. In my opinion it is one nail look that will never go out of style and will always be fashionable and chic.

To accomplish the perfect French Manicure, you must start with the essentials. It is best to choose a pale pink or clear base coat, and have a white polish with a thin applicator brush ready to put on the crescents of the nails. The first step is to remove any old polish you have on your nails and make sure you have clean finger nails. Since you will have such a pale, natural color on the majority of your nail you must make sure that the nail is completely clean and free of leftover color before proceeding.

Once that is done, you can go ahead and trim your nails to your desired length. It is best to let your nails grow long so that you have more free edge to work with for your white polish color. By adding length to your nail you are also adding the appearance of length to your fingers which is very appealing to the eyes. Then file and buff your nails to your desired shape. After that, soak your nails in warm water to soften your cuticles. Then once your cuticles are soft enough, you can push them back with a wooden pusher stick. Then you can go on to polishing your nails. Start with the base coat which is usually pale pink, cream, or clear. To begin, you should brush the nail color from the cuticle area down to the tips of your nail, then continue to use even strokes on all ten of your nails.

The white polish should stop right where the whites of your nails stop. After you have finished that, add a clear top coat to protect the look of your fresh manicure and to add a classic shine. Make sure to give ample time to let your nails dry so that there is no chance of smudging. Once you have completed all of these steps then you are done! You will proudly be able to say “Voila!”  After accomplishing your classic French Tip manicure!
