WBI has been educating students in the arts of cosmetology, barbering, nail technology and esthetics (skin care) for almost 60 years. We offer an intensive and comprehensive program to prepare you for a career you’ll love.

You’re only 400 hours away from becoming a licensed nail technician! Here’s what you can expect to learn in our program:

The Manicuring/Nail Technology course at Western Beauty Institute ( WBI ) covers all phases of nail preparation and care. The course consists of 400 hours of technical instruction and practical operations. Manicuring/Nail Technology is more than a manicure or pedicure. Nail technology is the art and science of professional nails. You’ll learn the anatomy, physiology and pathology of nails and skin; nail beauty techniques; and professional nail products and their uses.

The technical instruction here at WBI includes theory lectures, demonstrations, classroom participation, textbook study, and examination. Practical operations include practice of complete manicuring and pedicuring services on mannequins or real customers.
